This is a re-release of the ex BR models kit and is of etched brass construction. It features prototypical under floor motor with a driveshaft connection to the wheels. The kit also includes interior details including cab interior, partitions,toilet cubicle, luggage area, tables and seats. The kit includes the driveshaft bearings and gears leaving the motor (Mashima 1833) and wheels. 3 car kits can either include a centre car or an extra driving car. Class 165 Thames Turbo2 car unit
As operated by Network Southeast, Thames trains and Chiltern Railways out of Paddington and Marlyebone. This kit provide the basis for a nicely detailed representation of the prototype to be modeled, however the builder will need to fabricate bulkheads, partitions, bogie mountings etc from scratch and has been priced as a budget kit. These kits have a power bogie etch that is designed to take a vertically mounted can motor and Delrin chain. Class 170 and 171 Turbostar2 car unit, 3 car unit and 4 car (Class 171) units
As operated by One formally Anglia, Central Trains, Midland Mainline, Scotrail, South West Trains and Southern formally South Central (Class 171). This kit provide the basis for a nicely detailed representation of the prototype to be modeled, however the builder will need to fabricate bulkheads, partitions, bogie mountings etc from scratch and has been priced as a budget kit. The Class 171 is a modified 170 with Dellner couplings. These kits have a power bogie etch that is designed to take a vertically mounted can motor and Delrin chain.
